Our outpatient services are tailored to meet the needs of individuals who may be moving from an intensive rehab program to a lower-level program, or for those who don’t need the intensity and attention of residential programs.

Our outpatient services provide a combination of evidence-based drug and alcohol treatment with the flexibility to fit it into your schedule, allowing you to maintain a daily routine outside of a residential treatment facility.

Levels of Outpatient Addiction Recovery Services

Our staff of qualified professionals will determine the level of care that is best for your needs.

An initial assessment gives us a clear idea of your prior treatment background, where you are in your recovery, and what treatments will be best to continue providing you with the tools you need to maintain sobriety. Outpatient Program Lehigh Valley PA

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a level of outpatient service that allows you to continue living at home while you receive the same level of consistent, daily support as you would through a residential treatment program. This level of care is a step down from residential-inpatient treatment programs.

This allows the client to maintain the intensity of inpatient programs while still having the opportunity to live offsite. PHP services typically include a full day of treatment that involves therapy settings including individual, group, and family sessions, addiction education seminars, meetings, and other activities designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and provide necessary coping tools to prevent the threat of relapse.

At the end of the day, you’ll be able to return home and participate in the daily routine of friends, family, and life in general. While this tends to be the most demanding level when it comes to time commitment, it is also a level that many clients move out of within a few short weeks or months, depending on their unique needs.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) level is a step down from PHP. When a client enters the IOP services level, treatments are generally provided a few days a week compared to PHP, which could require up to five days of treatment a week. IOP provides clients access to carefully tailored and structured treatment options without totally disrupting that individual’s daily routine. Recovery Cove offers both daytime and evening IOP programs to provide greater flexibility when it comes to work, school, and other important schedule conflicts.

The IOP level of treatment allows the client to transition out of highly structured programs while still receiving the help they need. IOP is an ideal level to better transition into the stresses and demands of daily life while still feeling supported. This allows the individual to better put to work the tools and techniques they have learned in higher-intensity programs.

Outpatient Program (OP)

An outpatient program (OP), or general outpatient services, is the most freeing level of outpatient care. A client may only need to come to treatment a couple of days a week, for shorter hours at a time. This level allows the client to maintain a consistent daily routine outside of treatment. Treatment tends to be less intensive and often focuses on reinforcing techniques and tools that were taught and practiced in higher levels of treatment.

Accredited substance use professionals and clinicians facilitate these programs. These alternative therapies provide holistic healing that supports sustained recovery.
