Amita Saini
Counselor
Amita Saini is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with experience working with clients facing addiction and mental health disorders. She received a bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State College before pursuing a JD from Brooklyn Law School. After 6 years practicing as a family mediator, she returned to school and earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University. She has experience across all levels of care – detox, residential, IOP, PHP, and OP.
She believes that deep, lasting change comes from understanding the roots of our thoughts and emotions. Using an attachment-based and psychodynamic foundation that incorporates CBT, DBT and ACT, she helps clients explore past experiences and unconscious patterns that shape their present lives. Her approach is fundamentally person-centered—she prioritizes creating a safe, non-judgmental, and purposeful space where clients feel truly heard and supported. Her integrated approach combines this inner exploration with practical skills. She weaves psychoeducation into her sessions, ensuring clients not only gain insight but also understand the what and why behind their struggles, empowering them to apply new strategies in their daily lives. Her goal is to equip clients with both the self-awareness and the tools necessary to build a more fulfilling future.
