Philosophy of Care

At Recovery Cove, my philosophy of care is rooted in the belief that healing begins with human connection. I strive to meet each individual exactly where they are, honoring their lived experiences with compassion, cultural humility, and respect. Recovery is not a linear path—it is a journey of resilience, growth, and rediscovery—and my role is to walk alongside each person with empathy and evidence-based support.

  • Trauma-Informed Practice: I recognize the profound impact of trauma and prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment in every interaction.
  • Holistic Healing: Care extends beyond symptom management. I integrate psychiatric expertise with alternative therapies, mindfulness, and relational support to nurture the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Recovery thrives in community. I foster therapeutic alliances, encourage shared decision-making, and value each client’s voice in shaping their care.
  • Hope and Dignity: Every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. I hold space for hope, affirming that recovery is possible and that each person carries unique strengths worth celebrating.
  • Continuous Learning: I commit to ongoing reflection, professional growth, and innovation, ensuring that care evolves with emerging evidence and the diverse needs of our community.

In all that I do, I aim to create a safe, inclusive environment where healing is nurtured, resilience is honored, and recovery is embraced as a lifelong journey.

Personal Interests

Outside of my clinical practice, I find joy in creative and grounding pursuits. Cooking is one of my favorite ways to express care, experimenting with flavors, and designing meals that bring people together. Gardening offers me a sense of renewal and connection to the earth, reminding me daily of resilience and growth.

Animals are also a central part of my life. At home, I share my days with a lively crew: Grizzly, our German Shorthaired Pointer; Daisy and Jasper, our spirited Brittanys; and Magnolia Bleu, our Australian Shepherd. Alongside the dogs, our cats, chickens, and rabbits bring companionship, humor, and a rhythm of care that enriches everyday life.

I also embrace play and creativity through building LEGO Botanicals, a hobby that sparks imagination and mirrors my love of nature—constructing intricate floral designs piece by piece as a reminder of beauty, patience, and growth.

Together, these interests reflect my belief that healing and resilience are nurtured not only in clinical spaces, but also in everyday acts of creativity, curiosity, and connection.
